Same Mozilla engine as Netscape, but with a klutzy implementation. However, seventeen years with Netscape does breed a certain degree of intimacy with the product. Over the years, Netscape incorporated many features Firefox apparently lacks.
Chief complaint right now is that email (Thunderbird) is not integrated with Firefox. Also clumsy bookmark importing tool. As to the rest of the bummers, with some use, I'll try to get used to them.
Maybe somebody can give some tips and stand by for questions.........

QUOTE (beautifuldisaster @ Sep 22 2009, 06:16 PM) Not an Explorer fan eh?
I am not sure about any of that Marv, I really havent deviated. IE is exceedingly slow - much, much slower than either Netscape or Firefox. I only use it when it is absolutely, positively, needed as a last resort. Besides, IE is too open to hackers - they live on it. Been playing around with it all afternoon. Been frustrated all afternoon.

QUOTE (analyst @ Sep 24 2009, 05:59 PM) I was hit by a virus last year. This is what I get everytime I try to use Firefox. I get that on occasion with Netscape, but I've never been hit by a virus. I attribute it to an internal error when accessing a site written expressly for IE. Firefox and Netscape are built around the same engine - Mozilla.

Internet Exployer it too slow. Seems very fast to me, just a few seonds to access most any website.
Also, I am now using Microsoft's free virus protection, "Microsoft Essentials" and it seems better, and does not slow my computer down, than the $60 one I was previously using.

Barry, where is the, (real), birth certificate?
“Birther” :
A patriot who holds dear every word of the Contract between the People and the Government that is the envy of the world and whose ratification heralded the “BIRTH” of this great nation – The Constitution of the United States of America.
Quote from Kenyan Parliament meeting on 3-25-10:
"How could a young man, born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America?"
Kenya, where everyone is a birther!!

QUOTE (Oracle @ Jul 13 2010, 04:03 AM) I have several years of using Firefox, but now because of constant errors I think to switch to Chrome, and also Firefox began to take much memory A word of caution about GOOGLE's CHROME browser..... http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0710/39829.html.....a browser created by a far left liberal that records keystrokes, and has close attachments to a radical administration too interested in collecting personal information - well, put two and two together! I'll have nothing to do with it.
